Man and child killed during crash in Lightwater

A man in his 60s has been arrested

Surrey Police have confirmed a man and a child have died during a serious crash in Lightwater.

Emergency services were called to Red Road at around 8:20pm on Sunday (11 February) after reports of a collision on Red Road between the drivers of a grey Range Rover, blue BMW, and white Audi.

The driver of the BMW, a man in his 30s, and a child, who was also travelling in the car have died.

Two other people have been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A 62-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and causing death by driving without due care while unfit through drink or drugs.
