A Woking man has been charged with assaulting an emergency worker.

A police officer received "non-serious injuries" during an incident in a police vehicle, according to Surrey Police.

It happened yesterday afternoon (10 September) on Woking Road in Guildford, near the Stoke Cross Roads.

26 year-old Callum Rodgers, of Newland Avenue, Woking, has been charged with assault by beating an emergency worker.

He is currently in police custody.
