Woman dies following a car crash on the A3 in Guildford
Two cars collided early on Friday morning leaving one dead and another taken to hospital with serious injuries
A woman in her 40s was seen driving her silver Mercedes the wrong way down the A3 in Guildford before crashing into a vehicle travelling in the correct direction.
The incident happened near the Stoke slip road at around 2:50 AM.
She was treated at the scene but was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
The front seat passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the second car suffered less serious injuries.
Surrey Police are appealing for anybody who saw the collision or anybody with dashcam footage to come forward and contact them.
