Woman taken to hospital after sexual assault in Horsham

A woman has been taken to hospital after a sexual assault in Horsham.

Sussex Police has said a woman was running along the Downs Link, Southwater, at the junction of Marlpost and Two Mile Ash Road, at around 7.20am today (27 October) when she was pushed to the ground by a man.

He ran off when a member of the public walked past.

The victim has been taken to hospital and is being supported by specialist officers.

According to the force, the suspect was riding a bicycle and was wearing brown trousers and a distinctive red tartan padded jacket.

Anybody who witnessed the assault, recognises the description of the suspect or has information to assist the police investigation is asked to report it online or call 101 quoting reference Operation Morning.
