Body found in Norfolk identified as missing David Ryan
David, 73, was last seen near his home in Crome Road.
Police can confirm the body of a man discovered on farmland in Bungay has been identified as missing person David Ryan today (03 May 2024).
Forensic tests on the body, found on land off Norwich Road in Woodton on the afternoon of March 19 2024 some months after he was reported as missing, have confirmed his identity. David's family have been informed.
David, 73, was last seen near his home in Crome Road, Norwich, on Friday 29 December 2023 and despite extensive searches, David could not be traced.
David's family issued the following comment: "We are really pleased to hear the result and are glad to know he is no longer suffering."
The death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious and a file has been passed to the coroner.
