Police investigate after racist graffiti daubed onto York shop

The local community came together to remove it

Police are appealing for information after racist graffiti was daubed on a shop in York.

The hate-related criminal damage happened at Costcutter on the junction of Bramham Avenue and Bramham Road in Acomb at around 2.40am on 28 March.

The paint was brushed onto walls and shutters.

After seeing it, the local community rallied round to help remove it.

Officers are now issuing a public appeal for any further information.
