Oliver's Mount Racing returns this weekend in Scarborough
The RST Steve Henshaw Gold Cup will go ahead
Road racing at Oliver's Mount is set to continue this weekend in Scarborough.
Organisers say the RST Steve Henshaw Gold Cup will go ahead today (Friday 16th September), tomorrow (Saturday 17th) and Sunday 18th.
They said: "We were very saddened to learn of the passing of our gracious monarch, Queen Elizabeth II. We have received a lot of messages asking what the impact may be on our RST Steve Henshaw Gold Cup event.
"With confirmation that HRH Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral will be held on Monday 19th September we can now confirm all 3 days of The Gold Cup event will go ahead and we will be holding 2 minutes silence in memory of Queen Elizabeth II at lunchtime on Sunday, followed by the national anthem."
