Whitby firefighters have helped to free a man from a vehicle that left the road during a crash on the A169 Hole of Horcum

Whitby firefighters have helped to free a man from a vehicle after a crash.

It happened at around 7.45pm yesterday (Sunday 6th December) on the A169 Hole of Horcum where a vehicle had left the road.

The Whitby crew was joined by colleagues in Pickering and Fylingdales.

One man was taken out of the vehicle by firefighters using hydraulic cutting equipment, and taken to hospital ambulance. Crews also used stablisation, small tools and lighting.
