In an interview with KISS FM UK, David Guetta opened up about how 'Sexy Chick' with Akon came about. He explained: "I was performing at a festival and I was with Kelly Rowland, we did 'When Love Takes Over', which was new at the time, he (Akon) was performing after me.

"I see him on stage, coming out of my show, and I'm like 'Woah Akon! I love you!', and he's like 'You (are) the guy of 'Love Is Gone', I love this record'."

The pair then arranged to meet later that day at a recording studio in London, with David explaining that he told Akon he would wait for him.

David explained: "I'm waiting for him, and then, this is a REAL story... I rented Metropolis, an amazing studio in London, it was a Sunday night, I remember, it was hard to find a studio. I told him, 'You told me you want to work, we have the studio tonight', and he's looking at me like I'm crazy, you know? And he's like 'OK, OK, I (will) join you tonight'."

'Titanium' and Katy Perry

'Titanium' as we know it today features the collaborative work of David Guetta and Sia. However, this may not have always been the case - the track was actually offered to Katy Perry, but the superstar turned it down.
