The brand new series of Celebrity Big Brother returns to Channel 5 this evening (Tuesday 2nd January) with Emma Willis hosting the launch show for the 21st series of the popular reality programme.

With rumours being rife for weeks as to which celebrities would be entering the famous house, tonight a selection of celebrities are set to give up 'normality' to appear on the show for a number of weeks.

In a Celebrity Big Brother first, all of the housemates to enter will all be women, in a salute to a centenary of women’s suffrage, as the nation marks 100 years since women won the right to vote for the very first time.

Check out all of this year's 'official' Celebrity Big Brother housemates below:

Everyone's hoping for the inside scoop from Khloe Kardashian's BFF, Malika. We're just hoping she lasts longer than Ray J.

The house won't stay female only however as male housemates will be joining the show this coming Friday. The gender stereotypes will be challenged and hopefully we'll get to see fascinating truths about what it is to be a woman - and man - in the 21st century!

According to Channel 5 Celebrity Big Brother 2018 is set to be celebratory, surprising and insightful.

It's also been reported a 'mystery non-celeb' will be thrown into the mix during tonight's launch!

In another massive shake up of the show, Big Brother legend Marcus Bentley won't feature on this year's launch show.

Marcus has provided the voiceover for the show since its inception in 2000, and we cannot begin to imagine what it’ll be like without him. He wrote on Twitter, 'This will the first #CBB launch I’ve watched from home! Can’t wait. 9pm Channel 5. #CBB'

The reason for his absence is the all-female casting, and he confirmed his absence is just a one-off for the launch, and will be coming back in subsequent episodes. Phew!

The new housemates will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of 2017 winners Coleen Nolan and Sarah Harding. The Loose Women star won the January 2017 edition, with former Girls Aloud star Sarah turning the public around to win the Summer edition.

Celebrity Big Brother 2018 will air on Channel 5 every night.
