Following THAT cliffhanger ending to episode five, Line of Duty fans have been waiting patiently all week for the penultimate episode to arrive, crafting up theories in the process. Although the episode started like a scene from Fast and Furious, AC-12 quickly got down to business in a long interrogation scene with DCI Joanne Davidson.

After viewers discovered some disturbing information about Davidson's family and witnessed her confessing to shooting dead PC Ryan Pilkington, episode six once again ended with a major scene, this time from Spain!

The final scene showed Superintendent Ted Hastings and DI Steve Arnott stepping up their investigation into former detective Marcus Thurwell (James Nesbitt), and after he was last spotted living it up in Spain, the Guardia Civil raided his home, only to find him deceased alongside his wife.

HOWEVER, in true Line of Duty style, eagle-eyed viewers are now convinced that Thurwell is still alive, after spotting a major detail in the nail-biting scene...

Viewers now believe the Spanish police officer leading the raid was actually Thurwell, after spotting his dark eyebrows and strikingly similar eyes in the night vision footage.

One viewer wrote on Twitter, '#LineofDuty that is Jimmy Nesbitt's eyes. He is not dead, he is the Spanish police guy.' (sic)

Another wrote, 'Erm. Why does this chap look just like Marcus Thurwell??! (Actor: James Nesbitt) #LineofDuty'. (sic)

A third added, '#LineofDuty is it just me or do they show this officer’s face a bit to much during the raid?.' (sic)

Of course, nothing has been confirmed, but with only one episode left in series six, which will air on Sunday 2nd May, there's a LOT of loose ties that need explaining, not to mention the fact we still don't know the true identity of H.
