She's been in the public eye since the age of ten so Emma Watson is certainly no stranger to the celebrity lifestyle, however despite loving her fans, the actress won't take selfies with them and now she's explained the reason why.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, the Harry Potter star revealed she doesn't like getting her photo taken with fans as it allows people to 'track' her whereabouts.

She said, "For me, it's the difference between being able to have a life and not. If someone takes a photograph of me and posts it, within two seconds they've created a marker of exactly where I am within 10 metres. They can see what I'm wearing and who I'm with. I just can't give that tracking data."

The actress did admit she is more than happy to spend hours answering questions to fans but they will never get a picture. She added, "I’ll say, 'I will sit here and answer every single Harry Potter fandom question you have but I just can’t do a picture.'"

Fans are gearing up to watch Emma portray her role as Belle in the upcoming live action remake of Beauty and the Beast.

The movie, which also stars Dan Stevens, Luke Evans and Emma Thompson, is out in UK cinemas later in the month.
