Zara Larsson has proudly defended Sweden after Donald Trump's confusing speech about the country.

During a rally in Florida, the US President said: "We've got to keep our country safe....look at what's happening last night in Sweden - Sweden, who would believe this?

"Sweden - they took in large numbers. They're having problems like they never thought possible."

He then referenced Brussels, Nice and Paris - suggesting there had been a terrorist incident related to the country taking in refugees.

The Swedish singer took her opportunity to tell us what really happened in Sweden on the night in question, saying most Swedes were focused on choosing their Eurovision song contest entry.

She did say that her home country does have issues, but that they can't be blamed on refugees, calling Trump's comments "wrong" and "weird".

When asked what she would say directly to Donald Trump, Zara admits she fears he would actually reply to her because he has "twitter fingers".
