Rewind a few weeks and Dr Alex George could do no wrong in the eyes of Love Island viewers, but now, after expressing his frustration to Geordie girl Ellie Brown, fans of the show have changed their opinion on the A&E doctor, with some thinking his time to leave has come.

On last night's show, Alex vented his frustration at Ellie's lack of effort with him, despite the fact he secured her place in the villa by recoupling with her on Friday night's show. After mulling over her decision for hours, Ellie said to Alex, “I’m very nervous about this conversation. It’s very obvious today that you’ve been very angry about the way that things are. The recoupling for me wasn’t about us having conversation, because I’ve been here for over a week, it’s very obvious that we can hold a conversation.

She then added, "To me it was about doing couple things like getting into bed at night, and having a date together and the first night that we got into the bed after the recoupling it was very awkward for me. I don’t think there’s any sexual chemistry between us. I’m sitting here now ending something with somebody who I know has got a kind heart, I know is genuine and it hasn’t been an easy thing for me to do, so yeah…”

But poor old Alex didn't take it well, with the conversation soon turning into a heated disagreement as Alex aired his grievances towards Ellie. As the doctor told Ellie he think she's 'playing a game', things didn't end well.

After the scenes aired, a number of Love Island viewers took to Twitter to vent their feelings. Some didn't agree with the way Alex handled things...

Other fans sided with Alex and believed Ellie to be in the wrong...

Meanwhile, aside from Alex and Ellie's drama, it also looks like there could be trouble in paradise for Wes and Laura. After Wes offended the air-hostess during last night's task, Laura told him he was on 'thin ice'.

THEN, after Megan started to realise that Eyal wasn't the right guy for her, it looks like she's about to make a move on Wes in tonight's show!

WE CAN'T WAIT! 🙈
