The Strictly Come Dancing line-up is shaping up nicely with the tenth contestant being confirmed as comedian and television presenter Brian Conley.

Bosses confirmed the news on their Twitter account this afternoon writing, 'It’s a puppet! Ohhh no it isn't...it's @RealBrianConley, the 10th celebrity to join #Strictly 2017’s line-up!'.

Brian's career has spanned over the last 40 years after he landed his big break on The Brian Conley Show, coining his catchphrase 'It's a puppet!'. He then went on to star in many West End shows and present a number of TV shows.

Brian joins the likes of Gemma Atkinson, Aston Merrygold, Ruth Langsford and Scottish comedian Susan Calman for the upcoming new series.

The show, which is set to start next month, will be hoping to continue its success despite head judge Len Goodman leaving the judging panel. Len appeared on the show since it first started back in 2014, but last year announced the series would be his final.

New judge Shirley Ballas has been brought in to replace Len, with three brand new professional dancers also joining the show.
