Its about to get colourful in Wimborne as runners take on the Colour Fest Fun Run for Diverse Abilities.

The Dorset Charity supports more than 1,600 children and adults with profound physical and learning disabilities across Dorset with services including Langside School, Supported Living, The Beehive Centre and an Advice Team.

Heading through the grounds of St. Giles House, the route passes the house before rounding the Estate Lake then a woodland trail leads runners to a tarmac road section before entering the tree lined finished.

Mariana Swain, events executive at Diverse Abilities, commented:

“We are really looking forward to hosting our first Colour Fest 2 Mile Fun Run as part of the UK Trail Running Festival. It’s a great opportunity to get your family or a group of friends together to take part in a fun run through the beautiful Dorset countryside.”

There are longer races taking place which include a full marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K, Junior 1K and a Junior 200m.

You can find out more about the charity on the Diverse Abilities website.
