Something more than tomatoes found growing in a Weymouth greenhouse

Police have found something more than tomatoes being grown in a greenhouse in Weymouth.

Officers carried out a search yesterday afternoon after a tip off from the public.

A number of cannabis plants have been seized.

A spokesperson for Weymouth & Portland Police said:

"This visit was a direct result of intelligence passed to us by local residents who had seen the plants growing.

"The address was searched where upon further cannabis and leaves were located which were seized.

"The suspect will be interviewed about this matter at a later date and a decision made about how the matter is dealt with."
