Power tools stolen from Portland venue building site

Thieves broke in at Pennsylvania Castle

A building site at a venue on Portland has been broken into, with power tools stolen.

The theft happened at some point between 2.00am and 4.30am on Wednesday 26th July, at Pennsylvania Castle on Pennsylvania Road.

A number of Dewalt branded tools were taken - including an impact driver, a drill driver, SDS drill, skill saw and grinder - as well as some copper fittings.

PC Carley O’Rourke, of Dorset Police, said:

“We are conducting enquiries into this burglary and I would urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area during the early hours of Wednesday 26 July 2023 to please contact us.

“I would also urge anyone who comes across items matching the descriptions of those stolen being offered for sale in suspicious circumstances to please report it to police.”
