Storm warning for the south

Heavy rain and strong winds could cause problems

A tornado warning has been issued for parts of Dorset and Hampshire.

Torro - the UK's storm research organisation - says conditions are right for tornadoes, but they're likely to be weak and brief.

The Met Office has also issued a yellow weather warning for rain in place until 3pm on Sunday.

It said: "It is thought likely that some locations will see 20-30mm of rainfall. Recent heavy rainfall has left this region sensitive, and these additional (rainfall) totals are thought likely to cause some additional surface water flooding.

"The wind will also strengthen in association with this band of rain, and although impacts from wind alone are expected to be very low, the wind will likely increase leaf fall from trees, which coupled with the rainfall will increase the risk of localised flooding and make travelling conditions even more tricky."
