Teenager struck by car in Charmouth

A teenage girl's been taken to hospital following a collision with a car in Charmouth.

The 13 year old victim was struck by a red Suzuki Splash on The Street, near the junction with Lower Sea Lane, at around 4.20pm on Sunday (6th August).

Dorset Police attended, along with an ambulance crew - the teen's injuries aren't thought to be serious.

Officers are now investigating what happened.

PC Mike Rumsby, of West Dorset police, said:

“We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I am keen to speak with anyone who saw what happened.

“I would also urge motorists who were in the area to check any dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything of relevance.”
