Weymouth Summerfest will return for 2024, after the success of the first ever edition last year.

It's being organised by the Weymouth and Portland Round Table once again, to be held at Redlands Leisure and Community Park on Saturday 8th June.

Live music, attractions and displays, food and drink, and more are promised throughout the day, all in support of a local charity.

Last year's Summerfest raised over £23,000 - with a cheque for £13,000 handed to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and £10,000 split between other causes in the county.

Organiser of SummerFest, Weymouth and Portland Table member Adam Luckhurst said:

“We had such a great response from those who came to SummerFest 2023, so I am delighted to announce that Weymouth’s biggest charity event returns on Saturday 8th June.

“For SummerFest 2024, we will be raising money for Weymouth Life Boat and Dorset Acquired Brain Injury Rehab Service.

“I hope you can join us on Saturday 8th June for what is shaping up to be an unforgettable event.”

Jason Frampton is the new Chairman of the local Round Table branch, and said:

“I am honoured to lead Weymouth and Portland Round Table for 2024 as the new Chairman and would like to thank Adam for all his hard work and dedication over the last two years.

“The Round Table continues to be a force for good in Weymouth and Portland, championing local causes and enriching connections across our communities.

“I have many plans for the future and look forward to seeing the Round Table go from strength to strength".
