Woman assaulted while walking her dog in Weymouth

It's believed a group of male teenagers on scooters were involved

Police are trying to trace a group of male teenagers after what they're calling an assault on a woman walking her dog in Weymouth.

The woman - in her 50's - was knocked by a group of youths on scooters - as she walked along a path near to Victoria Hill in Putton Lane.

The group didn't slow down and left the scene.

Luckily, she wasn't seriously hurt.

PC Scott Williams, of Weymouth police, said:

“I have now been able to obtain details of this incident from the victim and enquiries are continuing to identify those involved.

“I would ask anyone who was in the area and saw what happened, or has information about the group of boys, to please contact Dorset Police.”
