Woman seriously injured in Bournemouth public toilet assault

The victim in her 30s was attacked in the East Cliff area

A woman in her 30s has suffered serious injuries after being attacked by a man in public toilets in Bournemouth.

It happened in East Cliff on Sunday afternoon (10th March).

The victim needed hospital treatment for injuries to her legs, arms, shoulders, back, head and face.

Detectives believe the victim and suspect are known to one another.

Detective Sergeant Emma Swann, of Dorset Police, said:

“A detailed investigation into the incident is underway and the victim is being supported throughout our enquiries.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident and saw or heard anything suspicious to please contact us.

“I am also aware that several members of the public came to the victim’s aid at the time of the incident and I am keen to speak to any of them who have not already contacted police.

“I would also ask residents with home CCTV, or motorists with a dashcam fitted who were travelling in the East Cliff area around the time of this incident, to please check their footage for anything of relevance.”
