As her new album is released, Adele has revealed that she almost gave up music for good.

Speaking in an interview she said the success of her album '21' was so big that she worried that people wouldn't like any of her new music.

She added that although she was nervous that it might have been enough for everyone - it wasn't enough for her.

She put it down to her being too self-critical before joking that she's sticking around to make our ears bleed again.

The star's comeback has been huge, with Hello reaching number 1 in 28 countries.

'25' is out today - though fans will have to buy the album as it won't be available to stream on sites like Spotify. The singer hasn't revealed why.
