Fresh off the back of her first single You Bring Me Joy, Amelia Lily visited In:Demand Towers to chat to Alex about her new single Shut Up (And Give Me Whatever You Got). Amelia tells us that her latest single is about girl power and being a strong female in a relationship. "I wanted girls to listen to this and be like 'I can be a strong independent woman who can speak my mind!'" She also reveals that the video for the single is from her very own nightmare. "There were ghosts and stuff in the dream. In the video I'm walking through a basement and they look kind of ghostly and mis-figured. That was a massive thing from the dream I had.", she said. She also tells us that her upcoming album is 95% complete and each song shows us the different styles Miss Lily can do, "I wanted to show people my versatility. I am very different, I'm not just a one trick pony. I've been able to show my wide range of what I can do on the album." Going forward Amelia tells us she'd like to work with Lawson and reveals that she's already close to the band. "They're literally my best friends. We chill around each others houses, we're just like a big family. We basically just have the funnest time ever!"
