Reality TV star Ashley Cain has taken to social media to thank fans after raising more than £1million for his daughter's life threatening leukaemia.

The former Ex on the Beach star's daughter, Azaylia, was diagnosed with the aggressive cancer at just eight weeks old and now, after an unsuccessful bone marrow transplant at seven months, she is in need of private specialist treatment abroad.

Appealing for help on Instagram over the weekend, Ashley wrote, 'Consultants from around the world have come to the conclusion that the ONLY option to save Azaylia’s life is to fly to Singapore for CAR-T therapy plus a haplo transplant.

'This treatment and associated expenses will be in excess of 1 million pounds.'

Less than 24 hours later, the 30-year-old has already smashed his £1million GoFundMe target and has now accumulated in excess of £1.4million.

Reacting to the news on his Stories, Ashley told followers that he had been busy looking after Azaylia and hadn't even clocked how well the crowdfunding was going.

He said, "Getting online to thousands of messages - I thought they were going to be saying that we were close, and the fact that we've hit it the £1million target and we are way above it is just incredible.

"So listen guys, thank you so much. Me and my family are eternally grateful to you guys."

Ashley thanked fans for donating on his Instagram.

Ashley and girlfriend Safiyya Vorajee received over 100,000 donations, with Mrs. Hinch (Sophie Hinchcliffe) donating a whopping £3,000 while Kate and Rio Ferdinand donated £1,000.

Commenting on the reality star's initial post, Sophie wrote, "We are ALL behind you 💗💗💗💗 you’ve got this champ!! Xxxxx"

Mums Sophie and Kate weren't the only celebs to support the cause, with Molly-Mae Hague, Marvin Humes, Jacqueline Jossa and Maura Higgins all donating £500 upwards in aid of the little tot's treatment.

After thanking fans "from the bottom of his and Safiyya's hearts," Ashley shared a clip of baby Azaylia, writing, "She is finally resting after a long day of treatment 😢" as he filmed her quietly snoozing in her hospital cot.

Now that the couple have raised enough money, Azaylia will need to be abroad for a minimum of one year - according to consultants - in order for this specialist treatment to have a chance at working.

Telling fans how strong she has been through her treatment, Ashley said, "Azaylia has fought through every near impossible battle so far and she has done it all with love in her heart and a smile on her face!"
