Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has made a behind-the-scenes documentary from her time on Disney's live action remake of The Lion King. The 38-year-old, who voiced Adult Nala in the film which was released last month, spearheaded the project to show viewers exactly how she made the accompanying album, 'The Gift'.

The album, which included songs written by artists who had been inspired by the film, was released alongside the film, and also included Beyoncé's 'Spirit', which became the original song for the movie.

Describing the album as her 'love letter to Africa', Beyoncé's documentary is set to air on ABC tonight (16th Sept), and will let viewers 'experience the process' of 'every track' on the 27-song collection.

Speaking to ABC in a previous interview, Beyoncé said, "I wanted to make sure we found the best talent from Africa, and not just use some of the sounds and did my interpretation of it."

Posting about the documentary on Instagram, Beyoncé shared a short video clip of a trailer for the documentary, showing fans a snippet of what they can expect from the documentary.

Celebrities and fans alike flocked to the comments section of the post to share their excitement, with model Winnie Harlow even getting involved to clarify the day it will be airing so she doesn't miss it.

One wrote, 'We aren’t worthy, but she keeps blessing us!' as another simply added, 'Can't wait', and one other commented, 'I almost wish this was on Netflix because I know I’m going to wanna watch it more then once 😱.'
