Everyone loves a throwback photo, and Beyoncé is no different, as she decided to celebrate her former band mate's birthday with a series of throwback pics. Former Destiny's Child singers Kelly Rowland and Beyoncé go way back, even before the 90s girl group formed and the photos shared by the 'Halo' singer show the girls from their school days laughing together.

Beyoncé shared the photos with a caption saying, 'Happy Birthday Kelly! 🐘 I love you Deep Deep. BIG deep 🎶Me and you, 👏🏽 us never part, 👏🏽 Makidada 🎶 💜💪🏾Walking through them middle school hallways like “Rollin Rollin Rollin” 😘.' sic

In the caption the pop star referenced a song from the film The Color Purple, 'Rollin Rollin Rollin', as well as a game made famous by the film saying, 'Me and you, us never part, Makidada'.

In less than eight hours, Beyoncé's photos have received over 2 million views. And of course it wasn't long before the fans' comments came flooding in, with many of them saying how 'Adorable' the girls were. One fan said, 'First you was sweet. Later you are beautiful.👍😍❤️🌹🌹🌹', with another commenting, 'Owwwn beautiful💓💓💓💓'. sic

Kelly turned 38 yesterday (11th February) and also took to Instagram to share her birthday celebrations with her fans. Posting a Boomerang of herself blowing out a candle, the singer wrote the caption, 'My Birthday Wish Is?..... (And if you don’t have anything nice to say.......S-T----U)(Yup, I said it).'

Hundreds of comments, with many full of birthday emojis, came flooding in to wish the pop star a happy birthday, with one saying, 'I hope I’m not too late but HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAUTIFUL DAY , I love you for the true star you are ... keep being amazing ma, much love 😍'. sic
