Celebrity Big Brother fans have admitted they are concerned for controversial housemate Stephen Bear’s welfare after witnessing his ‘distressing’ behaviour in the house.

Viewers witnessed the Ex On The Beach star smear tomato soup over the floor and then splatter jam in a yearbook during the recent shopping task.

Bear’s erratic behaviour comes after his fellow housemate, Chloe Khan, whom he enjoyed an in house romance with, was evicted last week.

Viewers of the show took to Twitter to vent their worries for the reality star, with a TV psychologist admitting he ‘needs to be removed’. She said ‘Bear’s behaviour is becoming increasingly erratic and distressing. He really needs to be removed. It’s not going to end well.”

Bear’s behaviour even led to some viewers wondering if he has been ‘taking drugs’ during the show.

This isn’t the first time Bear’s behaviour has caused controversy. His sexual antics with Chloe Khan led to Ofcom receiving over 60 complaints about the show.

Then, activists known as Mediawatch UK claimed the show should be axed from TV screens due to the ‘unnecessary’ scenes.

Speaking to a national newspaper, they said “If Channel 5 needs to resort to this sort of controversy to maintain any interest in Celebrity Big Brother, then perhaps the format needs to be allowed to die a bit more quietly.

“What’s more concerning here is Channel 5’s on demand service that allows children to watch such programmes with just a box tick to say they’re old enough. Post-watershed is one thing but the Internet means nudity is on the air 24 hours a day.”

Viewers may get their wish of Bear leaving the house as the 26-year-old is up for the next eviction due to being eternally nominated in the series.

The show continues every night on Channel 5 .
