An episode of The Chase left viewers in hysterics last night when one contestant admitted her stories of working at the 'erection department'.

79-year-old retired traffic warden Kate was telling show host, Bradley Walsh, about her previous 46 jobs and one in particular left both Bradley and viewers of the show in a fit of giggles.

Kate said "There was one that I was sacked from, where I was working in the erection department. Every time I picked up the phone I had to say the name of the firm and erection department."

She then admitted that she got sacked from that particular role for being 'too frivolous'.

After hearing her story, viewers of the popular quiz show took to Twitter to express their humour at the situation.

Despite entertaining viewers, unfortunately for Kate she was knocked out by The Governess (aka Anne Hegarty) in the first round.

Bradley Walsh went on to praise Kate for her personality and admitted it was a shame not to have her in the final of the show.
