Popular quiz show The Chase has been caught up in yet another fix scandal after the latest edition of its celebrity special episode.

The episode, which aired on Sunday night saw Emmerdale's Michael Parr, England ladies footballer Alex Scott, Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe and journalist Billy Turnball take on the chaser.

In the final round viewers of the show were infuriated after it appeared the chaser, Shaun Wallace, deliberately answered the questions incorrectly.

Despite the final round showing the celebrity team win a massive ÂŁ18,000 for charity, viewers took to Twitter to vent their anger and disappointment, claiming the show is a 'fix'.

In the past fans have said that the questions on the celebrity editions are a lot easier than the standard version which airs daily.

Of course this isn't the first time the show has been caught up in scandal.

Just last month it was noticed that the chaser is given 'extra time' in the final round making it a lot more difficult for the contestants to win.

After the clock appeared to pause on 10 seconds for a lengthy amount of time, before finally dropping down to nine on a recent episode, fans of the show believed they had proof it was a fix.

Despite the endless accusations, the production company for The Chase say they employ an independent monitoring company to ensure all questions are fair, selected at random and balanced.

The show continues to be hugely popular with viewers and continues to air weekdays at 5pm.
