Coronation Street's Kylie Platt's exit revealed

Details have just been revealed surrounding Kylie Platt's departure from Coronation Street.
Paula Lane, who plays Kylie announced that she would be leaving the show to her Twitter followers earlier this year, but details of how were not revealed.
At the time ITV bosses said that Kylie would be part of a 'huge top secret storyline' to take place this summer and now some more details have been released.
According to ITV Kylie is uncomfortable about letting an innocent dead man take the wrap for a crime she committed. She suggests the family leave Weatherfield once and for all and put the events of the past year behind them.
In an on air promo to be shown soon Kylie can be seen packing her belongings into a car. However, the mood switches as the vehicle is revealed to be a hearse surrounded by her devastated family and friends.

While the actual details surrounding her death have been kept under wraps ITV have released a short video which can be viewed here as well as a couple of photos from the episode.
Talking about filming her last episode Paula said, “It was very emotional to film the scenes knowing that I would never return and her death has huge consequences for David and all the family."
Earlier this week ITV announced that Coronation Street would start broadcasting a sixth weekly episode next year.
Paula will be expecting her second child with her husband Tom Shaw later this year.
Kylie’s final episodes will air week beginning Monday 11th July 2016.
