The Vicar Of Dibley actress Emma Chambers has died aged 53

Actress Emma Chambers, who is best known for playing Alice Tinker in The Vicar Of Dibley, has sadly died aged 53-years-old.

Her agency revealed that the actress had passed away due to natural causes on Wednesday. They said, "Emma created a wealth of characters and an immense body of work. She brought laughter and joy to many".

Emma was born on the 11th March 1964 in Doncaster, England. She also starred in Notting Hill and The Rainbow as well as the popular BBC TV show The Vicar Of Dibley alongside Dawn French.

Emma is survived by her actor husband, Ian Dunn, who she has been married to since 1991.

Tributes have been paid to the actress by fans and those who knew her.
