The annual cheesy music party is back for 2016 this weekend. Below is everything you need to know about this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

Will it be another ‘nil points’ for the United Kingdom?

When is the Eurovision Song Contest? This year’s final takes place on Saturday 14th May, kicking off on our TV screens at 8pm.

Where is it taking place? Following the success of Sweden’s Mans Zelmerlow at last year’s contest, Stockholm will be the location of this year’s event.

Who is representing the United Kingdom? After winning the public vote back in February, duo Joe and Jake are set to represent the UK on Saturday night. Both appeared on The Voice UK back in 2015 and decided to pair up after the show.

They will be singing ‘You’re Not Alone’ at the contest, check it out below.

Do the UK have any chance of winning? After not winning the contest since 1998 we have kind of got used to not being successful on the show.

However, after UK representatives Joe and Jake impressed in their rehearsal, bookies have slashed the odds of victory from 50/1 to 25/1.

Your guide to the new voting system Every Eurovision fan will know how lengthy the voting system can be and now the show has undergone some radical changes set to come in place at this year’s event. In previous years both viewers and professional juries’ results have been combined, each accounting for 50 per cent of the vote.

However, now the juries and TV voters will award a separate set of points from 1-8, 10 and 12. Still confused? Check out the official voting guide video below:
