Gareth Gates shows off new look in dramatic transformation

He captured the nation’s hearts as a shy 17-year-old back in 2001 when he finished second behind Will Young on Pop Idol, but now Gareth Gates looks completely unrecognisable.
Gareth left fans shocked when he uploaded a topless snap to his Instagram page alongside his girlfriend Faye Brookes.
The singer has clearly been working out and showed off his ripped body in the picture.
Fans were quick to comment on the snap with one user writing ‘Looking attractive Gareth’ whilst another said ‘Smoking hot’.
Gareth has been dating girlfriend Faye, who plays Kate Connor in Coronation Street since 2012. The pair met when they played on-stage lovers in the West End production of Legally Blonde.
After enjoying a successful music career throughout the noughties, Gareth decided to move into musical theatre and landed the role of Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, before portraying roles in Les Miserables and Legally Blonde.
The 32-year-old enjoyed a stint on Dancing On Ice in 2008 where he finished fourth on show and is now part of the band 5th Story, which was set up on ITV’s Big Reunion show.
