Following weeks of rumours, Gemma Atkinson confirmed that she was dating Spanish professional dancer Gorka Marquez last February. The pair met on the 2017 series of Strictly Come Dancing, but Gemma revealed that they weren't together at that point and that they actually started dating whilst on the Strictly Come Dancing tour together.
And today, Gemma and Gorka announced that they're expecting a baby together! Taking to Instagram, Gemma and Gorka shared a stunning photo of their dogs Norman and Ollie wearing plates which read, 'Guess what... Mum's pregnant! We're going to be big brothers!'
Gemma wrote alongside the photo, 'And what Amazing big brothers they will be! Myself & Gorks are beyond excited and happy and feel incredibly blessed to be meeting our new family member later this year. Baby Marquez!!! We love you loads already ❤️🤰.' sic
Gorka shared the same photo with the caption, '@glouiseatkinson Thank you for the greatest gift in life. Myself and Gem are beyond thrilled to be welcoming our new family member later this year! Baby Marquez 🤰🏼♥️ Norm and ollie can’t wait to start their big brother duties 🐶🐶.' sic

Speaking on the Hits Radio breakfast show on 18th February 2018 that Gemma co-hosts, she explained how, during Strictly, she and Gorka only saw each other at weekends and they "genuinely weren't together". However, it wasn't until the tour started that they had the opportunity to spend more time together and they thought, "this could work, and it did!"
Gemma was then quizzed by her former co-host Matt Haslam who asked what it was that attracted her to the "bendy 27-year-old". Gemma responded by saying, "I like the fact that he's funny, he makes me laugh!" 😍
The 34-year-old explained at the time that they'd been in a long distance relationship as Gorka is based in London, whilst she is in Manchester. However, she thought the distance helped as it meant they both had to make an effort and talk every day.

Gemma and Gorka met when they were both taking part in Strictly Come Dancing 2017, however they were paired with different dancing partners. Gemma was with professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec, whilst Gorka was paired with Alexandra Burke.
When she was first chosen to take part in the series Gemma said she had never danced professionally before and described herself as "Bambi on ice". However, despite her original comment she did extremely well in the series, getting through to the final.
