I'm A Celebrity star welcomes first child and reveals unusual name

Diversity dancer and I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here star Jordan Banjo has become a dad for the first time after his girlfriend Naomi Courts gave birth to a baby boy.

Revealing their newborn arrived into the world on Monday 7th May, proud dad Jordan took to his Instagram account to announce they've decided to call him Cassius Ashley Banjo. He wrote, 'Myself and @naomiella21 haven’t shared this straight away because we wanted to take some time to appreciate and enjoy the beautiful moment that we had as a family...but on the 07.05.2018 at 12:29am our beautiful son was born! Words cannot describe the feeling of seeing your future come into this world. I’m so proud of mum & baby, both are doing absolutely amazing and @naomiella21 you are a super woman. If I didn’t know it before, I do now, I am the luckiest man there is. Welcome to the world Cassius Ashley Banjo👣'. sic

Fans and friends of the dancer were quick to congratulate the happy couple on their news. Comedian Joel Dommett, former Strictly Come Dancing star Ola Jordan and reality star Casey Batchelor all sent their well wishes.

A fan then wrote, 'Huge Congratulations to you both💕fab news!🍼love baby's name too👌❤😚🤗xxxx

Jordan's girlfriend Naomi later shared another adorable photo of the couple's baby. Showing Jordan cradling their tiny son on his chest, Naomi wrote, '07.05.2018 - Cassius Ashley Banjo ❤️'. sic

Jordan, who came fourth on I'm A Celebrity back in 2016, revealed he was going to become a dad back in January this year.

Speaking to OK! Magazine at the time, Jordan said, "'It took a bit of time for me to get excited about becoming a dad because it's going to be a huge lifestyle change. Right now my greatest responsibility is making sure my phone is charged!"

Jordan first shot to fame when he auditioned and later won Britain's Got Talent with Diversity in 2009.

Performing alongside his brother Ashley Banjo and the likes of Perri Kiely, Sam Craske and Ashton Russell, the group have since enjoyed mammoth success with sold-out tours around the world.

Jordan later entered the I'm A Celebrity jungle in 2016, finishing fourth behind Joel Dommett, Adam Thomas and winner Scarlett Moffatt.

Congratulations to Jordan and Naomi on the birth of their son. 👶
