Liam has signed his first solo deal
Liam Payne has just sent his fans into meltdown as he announced some very exciting solo music news.
The One Direction man took to Instagram to share the news that he has signed a solo deal with Capitol Records UK.
He wrote ‘'I’m really happy to have signed to such a prestigious label as Capitol Records UK. Capitol Records has an amazing history stretching right back before even Frank Sinatra and I'm really looking forward to becoming part of their story. One Direction will always be my family, I'm now excited to show what I can do as a solo artist."
Capitol Records also revealed their excitement at signing Liam when the labels president, Nick Raphael said "Capitol Records UK are incredibly excited to be working with Liam. It's not often you get the chance to sign such a talented and ambitious 22-year-old who has already conquered the world."
Back in January music producer Juicy J teased fans that he had been working in the studio with Liam when he uploaded a snap of the pair to Instagram.
After Liam then hooked up with Cheryl, reports suggested they had been working on new music together in the studio.
It's all very exciting news!
Liam will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of his former band mate Zayn Malik. The singer has enjoyed ample success since going solo.
Zayn scored a number one with his track 'Pillowtalk' and released his debut solo album 'Mind of Mine' back in March!
We can't wait to hear Liam's new sounds!
