We have some TERRIBLE news for fans of Love Island - yet ANOTHER couple from this year's series have announced their SPLIT. Mere months after the Love Island finale, which saw Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer crowned as the winners, it seems like they're one of the only couples left.

So we're pretty devastated to hear that Georgia Steel and Sam Bird have announced that they're going their separate ways.

Taking to Twitter last night (17th Oct), Sam wrote a broken-hearted tweet which revealed that he and Georgia had split, but also added that it was under rather mysterious circumstances.

He wrote, 'I’m devastated to announce me and Georgia have split up for reasons I cant bring myself to comment on at the moment. As always I wish her all the best 😔.' sic

Sam's message was flooded with replies of support from fans, as well as his 2018 co-star Dr Alex George, who wrote, 'Love you.' Love Island 2017 star Dom Lever also replied, writing, 'Chin up bird man.'

Although Georgia has yet to write anything on Twitter, she did upload a statement to her Instagram Story last night which read, 'I'm very sad to say me and Sam have split.

'I will always care about him. However, please understand this is a hard time for us both, thank you. ❤️' sic

This comes after their 2018 co-star Laura Anderson announced that her relationship with Paul Knops - who she'd come second on the show with - was "in the past," and is also rumoured to be dating Love Island 2015's Max Morley.

According to MailOnline, a source close to the former air hostess has revealed that Laura and Max have been "going on secret dates for a number of weeks now," adding that they’re "really starting to get close and are definitely very well suited," before confirming that Max has "really fallen" for Laura and "things are going well between them."
