Love Island 2018 contestant Laura Crane has spent the past week in hospital following a battle with sepsis. The Love Island star was first admitted to hospital last week, where she has since been fighting the deadly infection, which spread rapidly.

According to OK! Online, her rep has said that Laura is still in hospital, adding that it’s "taken a lot out of her," but until they’ve got rid of the infection, "she won’t be able to go home."

They continued, "It will be closing up to a week if she’s still in there tomorrow. It’s a case of testing her every day. She’s been incredibly lucky, it’s very hard for an athlete to be out of training for this amount of time too."
