Poor Niall Horan. The One Direction star and golf enthusiast hit the deck while caddying for Rory McIlroy at The Masters in Augusta last night.
21-year-old Niall carried his golf champ friend Rory’s clubs around the picturesque course in Augusta as he battled against Tiger Woods in the Par-3 Contest.
Midway through Niall’s duties when the pair were walking to the next tee, Niall tripped and fell over planting his face on the deck with Rory looking on.
Photographers and TV cameras were fixed on Niall to capture the highly embarrassing moment as Niall struggled to his feet.
Making fun of it, Niall joked to his 22million Twitter followers: “If your walking around augusta , don't step on the pine leaves, slippy as hell Hahahaha! #redfaced !"
Things got even worse for Niall when Rory allowed him to tee off at one hole and the dodgy shot landed straight into the water! Doh!
Niall added: “Well that was an incredible experience , thanks @McIlroyRory for letting me do that, shame I pulled my shot into the water ! @TheMasters.”
As always, the king of mockery Piers Morgan was at hand to taunt Niall on Twitter, writing: “So far @NiallOfficial, I've watched you hit it in the water & fall over. Think I'll go to bed before things get even worse! #Augusta.”
In his superb comeback, Niall joked: “When was the last time you caddied at the par 3 at the masters piers? Oh yeh never ! Back to bed old man!”
