One Direction drop a surprise single 'Drag Me Down'
1D have surprised their fans with a new single available to download now.
Only a couple of days after ex-bandmate Zayn Malik announced his new solo career, One Direction have announced a new single on Twitter.
'Drag Me Down' has come as a surprise to many as the band, who are in the middle of their fourth North American tour, gave no indication that a new single was on the cards.
The band members were clearly excited to be releasing this song with Liam tweeting first this morning at 6.12am saying "bit of a surprise!"
Harry then follow up this tweet by just posting a link to buy the single on iTunes.
A little later minutes Niall said "we finally get to say this"
And finally Louis was the last to tweet from his personal account saying "Thank you for all your constant support. Hopefully you love it , we're proud of it :)"
This single is the first one to be released by the band as a foursome, since Zayn left earlier this year and is already available to download worldwide.
