Rumours of an engagement and plans to start a family have been rife for months, but now it looks like the fairy tale romance between Geordie Shore couple Chloe Ferry and Sam Gowland is officially over, as the pair have confirmed they've split.

The pair, who started dating when Sam left the Love Island villa in 2017, confirmed the news on social media today (Friday 10th May), with Chloe addressing the shock news on her Instagram Story.

She wrote, 'It hurts me to say this but me and Sam have gone our separate ways. We are still friends. Things carry on as normal. Bring on Saturday for the shop opening.' sic

The pair's split comes just one day before Chloe is due to open her very own shop, CM House of Aesthetics. The beauty shop will open in Monkseaton, a village in the North East of England.

Chloe and Sam first started dating in late 2017, when he joined the cast of Geordie Shore following his stint on Love Island. Despite many thinking their romance wouldn't last, the pair proved fans wrong and recently seemed to be completely loved-up on on social media, making their split even more of a shock.
