He might be a world-famous pop star, but 'Stitches' singer Shawn Mendes has revealed that he fell off a scooter recently and sustained some injuries to his face! The 20-year-old singer posted a couple of photos to his socials showing off a nasty bruise on his left temple and some grazes on his chin.

Shawn, who has been in Nashville filming an episode of CMT Crossroads, a programme where they pair country musicians with one from another genre, first posted a photo of himself with Zac Brown Band with the caption, 'Oct 24th with @zacbrownband ! Plus face cut!'.

The singer then posted another black and white photo just of himself without a caption, but with his injuries clearly visible. Ouch!

After revealing the injuries, many of his fans were quick to leave comments wishing him a quick recovery. One fans said, 'Oooo 🤤', whilst another left a comment full of emojis, '💪🐻💪😍💪🔥💪🐻😎', another fan said, 'u still look hot with that graze'. sic

Entertainment website E! then caught up with Shawn where they asked him about those painful looking injuries. "I fell off of a scooter yesterday - very hard core," revealed the singer, "I wasn't even going that fast, actually. I was going a little bit slow, then I turned around and something happened. I said, 'I don't want to break a wrist!' So, I put my face into the ground."

Sounds painful!

Luckily for Shawn though he isn't too badly injured and his is still able to play the guitar and sing. "That's what matters," he said, even adding that he "doesn't regret it", saying that "it was fun".

This injury comes as there is a fan theory circulating that Shawn could be due to team up with his friend Camila Cabello. Both Shawn and Camila have been spotted in Nashville, and while we know why Shawn was there, fans aren't sure why Camila was there, because she doesn't have any shows planned in the area.

As fans will know, Shawn and Camila teamed up on 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' in 2015, so could they be about to team up again? This year already, Camila has had collabs with Kane Brown and Pharrell Williams.
