Spider-Man himself Andrew Garfield has joked that he wants to play Harry Styles in a movie biopic about the One Direction singer’s life.

British actor Andrew, who played Spidey in The Amazing Spider-Man 1 & 2, says that his recently grown long hair would be perfect for playing Hazza – despite their 11-year age gap.

With his tongue firmly wedged in his cheek, Andrew, 32, told MTV: “I’m petitioning, I’m campaigning, subliminally.

“Just like…is (Harry’s) life full and rich enough to have a biopic done about it yet? It’s time. He’s what, 21? It’s time. You’ve got me.”

Andrew, who has been dating Emma Stone for four years, went on to reveal that his new hairstyle is for an upcoming movie role and he doesn’t really like it.

"I hate the bun," Andrew admitted. "I absolutely hate it. Hair is hair, it’s fine – I don’t have anything against hair specifically. It’s more the furore that surrounds it … it’s stupid.

"But I had to grow my hair out for a film that I did recently, and I haven’t cut it, because I’m scared the next film I do, I have to have a certain haircut."
