X Factor star Scarlett Lee's family 'lucky to be alive' after devastating fire

Their mobile home 'burnt to the ground'

She's impressing viewers at home with her amazing vocals on popular talent show The X Factor, but contestant Scarlett Lee is having a very worrying week, as her family are 'lucky to be alive' after their mobile home burnt to the ground.

Scarlett's brother Ben, his wife Sharon, and the couple's four children were reportedly in the caravan when it set on fire earlier this week, with all of the family members managing to escape through the windows.

According to reports, Scarlett's brother was taken to hospital after inhaling smoke, but all members of her family are set to make a full recovery.

A tabloid are reporting that Scarlett has been incredibly 'upset' due to the shock to both her and her family. With the publication adding that Scarlett has taken time off from the show, to spend time with her family.

After the incident, Scarlett wrote on her Instagram page, 'Please can everyone keep my family in their prayers. God knows the situation.'

It comes after Scarlett sailed though another week on The X Factor after impressing both the judges and the audience at home. The 20-year-old performed 'Always On My Mind' for Guilty Pleasures week, showcasing her amazing vocal range.

Despite this week's trauma, Scarlett is set to perform when The X Factor returns to ITV on Saturday night.
