Zayn is being ignored by One Direction
The star claims he has made efforts to make amends
Zayn Malik’s decision to quit the biggest boyband on the planet last March rocked the world and now the former One Direction man has claimed he is being ignored by his former bandmates.
In an interview with Luomo Vogue the singer claimed 22-year-old Liam Payne is the only member of the band who has cared to return his calls or texts, despite claims made by the band in recent interviews they were still friends with Zayn.
Zayn, who recently celebrated his 23rd Birthday, appears on the front cover of the January issue of the magazine. In the interview he reveals; “The truth is I haven’t spoken to any of the boys at all really, I spoke to Liam a bit and that’s just the way it is.”
The singer goes on to say “I did try to reach out to a couple of people and they didn’t get back to me, but then publicly, when they were asked questions about it, said that they’d spoken to me and that we were friends – but that’s not the case, I tried to reach out and be their friend but they haven’t even replied to any of my calls or texts”.
Zayn has now signed a deal with RCA Records with his debut solo EP set to be released later this year. We can't wait!
