We caught up with the singers to talk about what weird instruments they can both play, Bebe’s Body positivity advice, and the hidden meaning is behind their new track ‘Harder’.
Opening up on how he is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, Jax admits that, "Before the recorder you had the ocarina." Of course, we're not too familiar with what this is, so to clear things up, he adds, "How would you describe an ocarina? It looks like a Cornish pasty and its plastic.
"I used to play Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star on it and that, and then I moved up to the recorder, I had to be a superstar ocarina player to get to the recorder." Interesting...
Bebe then reveals to the gang that she is in fact a pretty good trumpet player, and has been playing it for eight years, before admitting that it would be hard to keep up her instrument playing with her nails. "Yeah, the nails are long," Jax adds.
Opening up on body positivity, Bebe says, "There’s only one of you in the world. You’ve got this. No matter what comes your way you’ve got this. You’ve got to be positive. You’ve got to say nice things to yourself. I say that.
"We always give other people compliments, but we never give ourselves compliments."
