Dua Lipa drops the music video for her catchy new song 'Don't Start Now'
It's finally arrived!
Dua Lipa, the pop star who has given us hits like, 'New Rules', 'One Kiss', and 'Electricity', has finally dropped some new music! After the singer wiped everything from her Instagram and Twitter profiles recently, she starting to tease her new music and we are so ready for it!
Now, the pop star has released her new song 'Don't Start Now', along with the music video, which premiered today (1st November). The music video has been directed by Nabil, who has previously worked with Kanye West and The Weeknd.
The video starts with a short scene in a club, before you hear Dua screaming, it then cuts to '5 hours earlier' when the pop star is in a club, singing with her friends. After having fun with her friends, she sneaks out of the club and into a rather posh looking party!
The songstress has now opened up about the reasons behind her new release saying, "I chose to put this song out first so I could close one chapter of my life and start another."
Dua went on to explain about her new sound saying, "A new era with a new sound! It’s about moving on and not allowing anyone to get in the way of that. It also felt like a natural first song choice as I made it with the brilliant same crew I made ‘New Rules’ with."
Dua Lipa's new music comes 10 months after 'Swan Song'. The song was featured on the soundtrack to the film Alita: Battle Angel and had an amazing video to accompany it which shows Dua in the streets of the Iron City in the middle of Alita’s world.
