How many awards has Ed Sheeran received?

Ed has been nominated for over 300 awards in his time. His achievements include seven BRIT Awards; two in 2012 for British Breakthrough Act and British Male Solo Artist, two in 2015, British Male Solo Artist and MasterCard British Album of the Year for 'x' and for Global Success in both 2018 and 2019. Then, in 2022, he picked up the award for Songwriter of the Year.

Although he was nominated for two BRIT Awards in 2023 - Song of the Year for his collab 'Merry Christmas' with Elton John and Best International Song for 'Peru' with Fireboy DML - he lost out on both to Harry Styles and Beyoncé respectively.

Within his huge wins he’s also been bestowed an MBE, receiving his award from Prince Charles in December 2017. Upon collecting his award, the singer said: "My grandfather died on this day four years ago, so it's actually quite a nice full circle thing, I guess he'd be pretty proud."

In 2019, Spotify also confirmed that he’d set a new record for the highest number of global monthly listeners on the streaming platform.

In 2022, his single 'Bad Habits' was presented with the European Song of the Year Award at the 2022 BMI London Awards. Accepting the gong with co-writer Johnny McDaid of Snow Patrol, Ed said: "We had so much fun making the song and it has been so much fun playing the song out on the road and seeing the reactions of people all around Europe and I can’t wait to go out and do some more."

Johnny added: "Ed, I’m so grateful man for the fact that you still trust me to make music with you after over a decade of us writing songs together and I hope we have many more to come."
